Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) of applying a magnetic pulse on the brain through the skull of painlessly by means of a coil, the magnetic flux induces an electric field that modifies the activity of neurons in the magnetic field. Repetitive stimulation is known to emit a series of pulses during a given time interval so as to significantly alter the activity of the target area. This technique is used for therapeutic purposes to treat neurological disorders (depression, fibromyalgia, schizophrenia, hallucinations ...). Department of Psychiatry.
