Remains of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant
Members of the media tour the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, Japan - 20 Feb 2012
Members of the media have been given access to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan ahead of the one-year anniversary of the disaster that saw it go into melt down.
Reporters - dressed in protective white overalls and wearing gas masks and helmets - were first given a bus tour of the facility. They were then able to get off the bus on a hill near the No.4 reactor, which was damaged by the blast last March. The crisis was triggered by an earthquake and ensuing tsunami on 11 March 2011. This caused a string of fires, explosions and radiation leaks at the plant - ultimately resulting in the world's worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl in 1986.
