Furry cutie perched on a tree branch ADORABLE IMAGES of a hungry grey squirrel nibbling on berries have been captured. Pictures show the furry cutie perched on a tree branch furiously eating the berries all around it. Other shots show the squirrel with its mouth around a large berry and then stopping to have a nice scratch. The grey squirrels are non-native mammals introduced to the UK in the 1800s. They are now common throughout England and Wales and in central and south-east Scotland, often seen in gardens with bird tables and feeders. Squirrels cache their food in autumn and relocate their stash in winter and early spring. These pictures were captured in Priory Marina in Bedford, by Nikki Rowley Todd a Senior Project Manager from Bedfordshire. “The squirrel looked so cute eating and holding food in its little hands and the contrast of colours it created with the berries was great,” she told mediadrumworld.com. “I love capturing wildlife in their natural habitat. “I had to follow this squirrel for quite a while before it settled down and start nibbling and I was very happy to be able to finally capture some good shots.” ENDS.
