The prestigious St Benedict's Abbey in Scotland was constructed in 1729 and originally named Fort Augustus after the town it is situated in.
When it was extended in 1880, the property was transformed and re-named, as reported by Luxury Property News.
It became the only Benedictine monastery in Scotland at the time.
Later, the property turned into a school for boys from wealthy families.
Known for its academic excellence, it eventually grew to accommodate 150 students.
However, the use of the abbey was shut down in 1998, while it sat in the hands of the Benedict family.
In 2012, restorations were made and it was transformed into a series of flats used for residential purposes.
The two-bed currently for sale has a price tag of Ł235,000.
