This photo taken on December 14, 2024 shows a thermal imaging drone taking off to detect wild boars movements in the mountain at night in Weinan, in northern China's Shaanxi province. In the frigid night of China's Qinling mountains, wild boars menacing local farmers' livelihoods are being pursued by huntsmen with huge social media followings. China's wild boars -- today numbering two million -- were a protected species from 2000 until 2023, but emerged out of safeguarding last year with a hell-raising reputation for devastating crops.
