Police tape remains in place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times.
The violent attack occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. near the intersection of Carroll Street and Rochester Avenue. Authorities report that the teenager was ambushed by one or more assailants, leaving him with five stab wounds to his chest and abdomen.
Emergency responders transported the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition, officials confirmed.
Investigators recovered a screwdriver at the scene and are working to determine whether the tool was used in the assault, sources said. While no arrests have been made, police are pursuing leads on one or more teenage suspects believed to be involved in the attack.
