SRINAGAR,KASHMIR,INDIA-DECEMBER 04 : Fishes are kept on the grass before smoking process in Srinagar,Kashmir on December 04, 2021.The smoked fish which is known locally as 'Fher' is prepared by placing the fishes on the grass on a particular area and then another layer of grass is placed on the fishes before setting the grass on fire, the smoked lot is then collected mostly in wicker baskets and sent to market locations for sale ,It is also believed that the smoked fish helps to fight common cold in winters and is usually consumed as part of the Kashmiri winter cuisine.
