Smirking bear DELIGHTFUL images of a brown bear showing off his million-dollar smile have been captured. Images show the handsome bear with thick brown fur posing up a storm in the snow in Martinselkonen in eastern Finland. The bear can be seen staring directly at the camera showing off all his best angles. Brown bears are huge mammals and reach up to five feet tall at the shoulder, and up to nine feet tall overall when standing on their hind legs. Male brown bears are generally larger than females and can weigh up to 1,200 lbs. These images were snapped by Valtteri Mulkahainen, a physical education teacher as well as a wildlife photographer from Finland. “I always try to catch the moment of facial expression in a bear, although they are animals, but they also have emotions on their face and I love to explore them,” he told mediadrumworld.com. “It was a pleasure to shoot this bear, especially when it maintained steady eye contact with the camera lens, it seemed like it was staring right at me. “The dark brown bear sitting on top of plain white snow made for a great colour composition for these images.” ENDS.
