Trafalgar Square's Christmas tree is being installed by workers after arriving from Norway. Every year, since 1947, the people of Norway have given the people of London a 20 meters high Christmas tree as a gift to show their gratitude for Britain's support for Norway during World War II. The tree is selected from the forests surrounding Oslo. The Norwegian foresters who look after the forests, describe it fondly as 'the queen of the forest'.
