The otter gets comfy, ISLE OF MULL, SCOTLAND, ADORABLE IMAGES of an otter settling down for a nap after a big feed have been captured.  The hilarious images show the otter standing proud with its catch-of-the-day in its mouth. Other images show the otter with full belly snuggling into the green seaweed and vegetation, having a big yawn before closing its eyes for a well-earned nap.  These images were captured by Chief Marketing Officer Marc Freebrey (50) from Gloucestershire, UK who was interviewed by mediadrumworld.com.  Marc captured the sleepy otter on Isle of Mull, Scotland on his Nikon Z9, Nikon Z 180-600mm F/5.6-6.3 VR Lens. “You typically have a better chance of spotting otters a few hours either side of low tide when they are active and hunting. When the sea is calm, it's easier to spot an otter swimming while fishing,” said Marc.  “On this occasion I could see the otter fishing in the bay and had to pick a position where I thought it may come ashore.  “I scrambled over the kelp and waited patiently for the otter to feed and come onto the shoreline to rest and dry in the sun.  “I was in position, hiding behind a rock, and managed to photograph to otter without disturbance. “There is always a feeling of great excitement and satisfaction. “Getting into position can be tricky as otters have an excellent senses of sight, sound, and smell.  “To get good photos, you have to keep low so your silhouette is not seen, stay downwind of the otter to prevent it from noticing your smell and only move when the otter dives for food. “I especially love the photos of the otters relaxing on their back.  “Otters can eat up to a kilogram of food each day so they are always on the hunt. They earn the rest and look so chilled and content after a good feed. “The  otter is one of our top predators, and are especially excellent hunters underwater. They mostly eat fish, shellfish, crustaceans, as well as some small mammals, amphibians and birds.  “They are well suited to a life on the water as they have webbed feet, dense fur to keep them warm, and can close their ears and nose when underwater. “I take great joy in sharing the photos and making people aware of the wonderful nature we have all around us. It is important to appreciate what we have and not take it for granted.  “As with most wildlife, it’s a good idea to stay in one place and let the wildlife come to you.” ENDS
