INDIA FUNNY images show a Western Reef Heron braving the water and going for a paddle in the sea.
The leggy bird is pictured on Madhavpur Beach in Gujarat, India, wading through the shallows looking for small fish, crustaceans, and other aquatic invertebrates to munch on.
The western reef heron, also called the western reef egret, is a medium-sized heron found in southern Europe, Africa and parts of Asia.
They can reach an overall length of five feet and a wingspan of over eight feet.
Laukik Bajpai, a 33-year-old wildlife photographer from India, snapped these images.
“I was absolutely thrilled to have captured such a beautiful and natural moment,” he told mediadrumworld.com.
“It was truly rewarding.
“I was fascinated by the heron's grace and agility as it hunted for food.
“
I love capturing wildlife in its natural habitat.
“ I find unplanned encounters like this the most fulfilling and rewarding.
“The Western Reef Heron is a common coastal bird found throughout the Indian Ocean region.
“They are known for their beautiful plumage and their ability to adapt to various habitats.”
