This handout photo taken on September 8, 2024 and received on September 11, 2024 from Ryosuke Imai, a staff member of Gekidan Penters, shows a six-year-old Cape penguin, also known as an African penguin, after it was found following its escape, in the city of Tokoname, Aichi prefecture. A fugitive penguin in Japan has been found safe and sound having paddled some 45 kilometres (30 miles) up the coast two weeks after escaping, in what its keeper called a "miracle". Pen-chan, a female Cape penguin born and raised in captivity which had never swum in the open sea before or fended for itself, slunk off on August 25 in the central Aichi region.
