Supporters and relatives of Israelis held hostage by Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip since the October 7 attacks, demonstarte to demand their release 300 days since their abduction, in Tel Aviv on August 1, 2024, amid the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip between Israel and the Palestinian militant Hamas movement. The war in Gaza began after Hamas militants attacked southern Israel on October 7, resulting in the deaths of 1,197 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally based on official Israeli figures.
