Brave diver captures great white shark on camera in Jaws lookalike pose
A fearless photographer has captured terrifying close-up footage of a razor-toothed great white shark.
A slow-motion video shared by Euan Rannachan shows every little detail of the stunning predator as it widens its jaws and pierces the surface.
The London-born photographer recently hit headlines with incredible images of a bloody-mouthed fish ripping bait apart.
Now Euan, who runs Be A Shark - a travel adventure company on Guadalupe Island, off the coast of Mexico, has delighted fans with even more impressive scenes.
After reaching the surface, the shark moves its giant body towards the camera, mouth still agape and fin slicing through the water.
The footage is so clear that viewers can even see battle scars etched into its skin.
“On this particular day, there was nothing really out of the ordinary happening,” Euan told What's The Jam.
“We had a couple of large sharks around most of the day, but this shark had been the most active of the bunch.
“Sometimes, when you have the same shark going for the bait over and over, you get a better understanding of how they like to attack it.
“So, after a couple of times watching the fish go for it, I managed to get myself in the right position to get close enough to not interfere but also capture the bite as I had wanted.
“It's almost impossible to make an animal like this go exactly where you want it, so you have to work with what you get.
“On this day, it just lined up perfectly for a moment.”
Now living in California, US, Euan said the ferocious creatures fascinate him.
He shares his impressive - and brave - passion with shark lovers on his Instagram account (@euanart).
His most recent video has attracted over 4.9 million views, 182,000 likes and 900 comments from fans.
