Local residents clear the area around collapsed house caused by massive earthquake in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture on May 6, 2023, one day after the earthquake. At 2:42 pm on May 5th, there was severe earthquake which registered upper 6 on the Japanese intensity scale in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, tip of Noto Peninsula. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the epicenter was around Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture, with the depth of 12 km and the magnitude of 6.5.
