Ryuji Kimura is sent to prosecutors in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture on April 17, 2023, two day after the incident. Wakayama prefectural police restrained Kimura who is believed to have thrown explosives at the site where Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was scheduled to give a speech for by-election of Lower House on April 15th. 24-year-old Ryuji Kimura was arrested at the scene on suspicion of forcible obstruction of business on the same day.
