Red deer at Richmond Park. HILARIOUS images of a red deer stag showing off its sparkly teeth have been captured in Richmond Park, London. Images show the stag looking straight to the camera bearing its full set of pearly whites. Other images show the same stag making angry faces, yawning and licking its chops before settling down in the brambles. Deer herds have played a major role in Richmond Park’s history and have shaped the landscape too. Red deer are the largest land mammal native to the British Isles and in summer their coats are glossy red. Deer are wild and unpredictable animals so for visitors’ safety and the deer’s welfare, the Park advises all visitors to observe a minimum of 165 feet of distance. These comical images were captured by Jo Brown (31) a Senior Research Scientist and a passionate wildlife photographer from Didcot. “It's like he wanted to be photographed,” she told mediadrumworld.com. “I spent the day in Richmond Park watching for different deer behaviours, but I captured this range of shots within about 30 minutes once I found this deer. “I loved his range of facial expressions and emotions. “It was like he was auditioning for a comedy-drama. “I am always amazed by the range that animals have, and we often see stags portrayed as severe, stoic beasts, so it's nice to see them being a little silly.” ENDS.
