The brightly pigmented birds were spotted in a shallow wetland in the South of Nalsarovar, Gujrat, India 49-year-old, Mrinal Sen. I shoot these images in a wetland in the South of Nalsarovar, Gujrat, India, where these Lesser Flamingos migrate before Monsoon and stay till end of Winter season. What I saw is just spectacular. The lesser flamingo were performing a unique courtship ritual. During the breeding season, large flocks gather and engage in synchronized displays. Males stretch their necks, flap their wings, and perform a distinctive head-flagging dance. This elaborate behavior, accompanied by calls and vivid coloration, attracts females. Pairs form and continue their intricate dance, strengthening their bond. Nalsarovar's shallow waters and abundant food supply make it an ideal breeding ground, supporting thousands of these striking birds. 3. How did you capture this shot? Were you waiting for a while and did they mind your presence? I captured these shots maintaining a reasonable distance because Lesser Flamingos are a bit shy in nature. I, being a nature lover, never disturb any animal/birds and choose to take pictures from a reasonable distance. We must respect the privacy of every life form. 4.
