Tengananese men use traditional potion made of turmeric and vinegar to heal the wounds during the Pandanus War ritual. Annually the villagers of Tenganan Pagringsingan in Island of Bali celebrate Usabha Sambah a ceremony to worship God Indra, the god of war. One of the famous ritual during the ceremony is Mekare-kare, an unique ritual where men fight each other using thorny pandanus leaves as a weapon.
