Tengananese adolescents carry holy water from the springs to the village before the pandanus war ritual begins. Annually the villagers of Tenganan Pagringsingan in Island of Bali celebrate Usabha Sambah a ceremony to worship God Indra, the god of war. One of the famous ritual during the ceremony is Mekare-kare, an unique ritual where men fight each other using thorny pandanus leaves as a weapon.
