(NYT71) NEW YORK -- July 18, 2007 -- NY-EXPLOSION-3 -- Buses, taxis and cars damaged after a steam explosion tore through a Manhattan street near Grand Central Terminal, Wednesday, July 18, 2007. The explosion which occured during the evening rush hour sent residents running for cover amid a plume of steam and debris. At least one person was seriously injured but no deaths have been reported, the authorities said. (James Estrin/The New York Times)
