Inspired by Ben Mezrich's best seller, "Bringing Down the House," a 2002 chronicle of a group of MIT math whizzes who collectively won millions in Las Vegas in the 1990s, a group of five friends began visiting casinos in June, joining many others who came to card counting through the same route.
