(NYT30) EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Dec. 9, 2007 -- FBN-BROWN-JETS -- Brad Smith of the New York Jets misses an opportunity to score in the second quarter against the Cleveland Browns as Brandon McDonald breaks up a pass during the game at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007. Suddenly, the Jets had life. Their struggling offense mustered a fourth-quarter touchdown. Brad Kassell emerged from a pile with a recovered an onside kick. When the clock hit the two-minute warning, the Jets stood in Browns' territory, 20 yards from victory. But this game ended, like most, in familiar territory, a 24-18 loss to Cleveland at Giants Stadium. (Suzy Allman/The New York Times)
