(NYT45) BOSTON -- Jan. 17, 2007 -- HOME-DESIGN-BOOKS-3 -- Azita Bina-Seibel, a chef and restaurateur, pictured in the open kitchen of her home in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, in Nov. 2006. Seibel and her husband, Elmar Seibel, a dealer in rare books, renovated the home. Elmar Seibel's personal book collection includes at least 40,000 books on Persian and Iranian culture. He keeps many in a warehouse, but perhaps 14,000 or 15,000 are at home. (Michael Weschler/The New York Times)
