(NYT9) CAMBY, Ind. -- Oct. 22, 2005 -- MEDICAL-EXPENSES -- Arnold and Sharon Dorsett with their children, Dakota, Zachery and Jessica, back, outside their home in Camby, Ind., in August 2005. Though they had insurance, the Dorsetts had to file for bankruptcy because of Zachery's health care costs. Never have patients had so many medical options to extend, enrich or alter their lives. But these new options are expensive, and with them has come a change for which many Americans -- even those with health insurance -- are financially ill prepared.
