(NYT31) NEW YORK -- Feb. 7, 2001 -- BRISTOL-MEYERS-APPOINT -- Peter R. Dolan, 45, first made his mark by getting consumers to buy more Jello at General Foods. Now, after 13 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb, the nation's fourth-largest pharmaceutical company, he has been named chief executive, becoming the latest marketing executive to run a major drug company. Dolan, in his office in New York is credited with being the creative force behind the advertisements for the cancer drugTaxol, that featured the Olympic cyclist Lance Armstrong. (G.
