COLOURISED Pontoon Hydroplane speedboat undergoes successful trial .
The latest speedboat invention is that of a pontoon hydroplane the invention of Thomas E Lake , son of the famous submarine expert .
The boat is 20 feet long , and carries two passengers , and can turn in its ovn length at full speed without capsizing . The body of the boat rests on three pontoons , the rear one acting as a rudder . Because of its pecliar construction it rides smoothly in rough weather .

It was scheduled to start passenger carrying runs at the exhibition from 16 July 1964.
