PHOTO: EAST NEWS/BSIP This scanning electron micrograph reveals the exportation of virus particles (arrows) at the pseudopodial and cell surfaces. This electron micrographic image was captured 15 to 24 hours after the Vero E6 culture cells were infected with the SARS-CoV (coronavirus). The increased numbers of pseudopodia were a direct post-infection cell surface transformation as well.
