The Italian town where Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were due to marry on Saturday has given thanks to the couple for choosing it as the location for their wedding. Officials in Bracciano created a marble and silver replica of the Castello Odescalchi castle where they exchanged vows, and gifted it to the newlyweds. It is enscribed with the date of the nuptials, 18-11-06. They also presented them with a certificate from the people of the town, saying thanks. It is signed by Patrizia Riccioni, the town mayor. She also presented Cruise and Holmes with a floral bouquet. The town's website also ran an image of the happy couple ahead of the wedding under the words: "The wedding of the year".
