BAGHDAD, IRAQ, 13 MARCH 1999 --- Hundreds of Iraqi schoolchildren descend upon the Iraqi national monument to the "martyrs" killed during the 1980-1988 war with Iran. The soaring, fifteen story-tall ceramic-glazed half domes represent the rising and setting suns, and contain a wall enscribed with the names of tens of thousands of Iraqi soldiers who died in the conflict.
