VIDEO: Strong arm of the Law! On-duty cops have go on punching machine
Three on-duty cops had a go on a punching machine in the street.
One of the trio hit it so hard he lost his hat.
The officers were patrolling a high street when they were asked to take part in a shop opening.
Outside of the shop was a punch bag machine which tests the power of a punch
Stepping up to the challenge, the three cops showed off what they have in the locker.
Despite the heavy swingers none of three officers got a score above 800 with the rating being from zero to 1000.
It happened on Sheepcote Road, Harrow on Tuesday (14 Jan).
Members of the public were left split, as reported by What’s The Jam.
One stated: “This is who is meant to be protecting the public.”
Another added: “Nice to see they are wasting taxpayers money again.”
Yet Mubarak Alhadi said: “Lovely to see.”
Mitch added: “All jokes aside it’s good to see some feds don’t take themselves too seriously nor the job.
“This could be one way to break certain barriers within the community with the police.
“Much respect to you guys for the consistency to be outside, which seems to be daily.”
Another poked fun at the short officer taking part.
He joked: “I thought it was bring your son to work day for a second.”
A Met Police spokesperson said: “The officers were on patrol with a shop opening taking place nearby.
“They were asked to take part.
“One of the officers' many duties is to help build community relationships.”
