Explorer finds abandoned 9,000 sq ft billionaire's mansion
An urban explorer has come across an abandoned billionaire's mansion reportedly worth £6.8m ($8.1m USD).
When he found the property, Dave, who enjoys inspecting deserted homes as a side hustle, was stunned at the sheer size.
The mansion spans nearly 9,000 square feet across four acres.
He claims it was abandoned in 2019 and is set to be demolished in the future.
Sitting in a quiet neighbourhood on the American East Coast – the luxury home features six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and an in-ground pool with a pool house.
Some of the paint is peeling from the walls, and the floorboards are beginning to wear, but the property’s beauty has otherwise remained intact.
An elegant winding staircase is a stand-out feature within its walls, as are the panelled windows.
Dave, who runs a YouTube channel and his own website called Freaktography, shared a video online of his incredible find.
He has a full-time job in marketing and a family, but sometimes spends the night in deserted jails, decaying churches or long-forgotten homes tucked off rural roads.
“Come with me as we delve into the remnants of this majestic home exploring its decaying beauty,” Dave, from Burlington, Ontario, can be heard saying.
“This place is huge, just look at this room.
“These doors are nice, wow, and look at this staircase - this is beautiful.
“I can't believe how many rooms there are in this house.”
Dave explores all three floors of the home, as well as the attic and basement.
He also finds a movie theatre room.
The basketball court and the pool house are both located in small outbuildings beside the main building.
