Opieka okołoporodowa w Ugandzie
Uganda, Hoima, October 3rd 2016 The newborn of 17 years old Eyolaru, waiting to be reanimated in the prenatal unit of Hoima's Hospital. Eyolaru came at the hospital too late: she needed a C-section but the theatre was full and she had to wait. (Hoima Hospital has 4 operating tables for all units - so when it comes to C-sections women often have to wait). Also, the nurses were telling her not to push but she spoke a language nobody spoke so she kept pushing and she delivered. The child, suffering from severe asphyxia, was reanimated several times, put on oxygen and in the incubator but didn't make it through the night. Martina Bacigalupo / Agence VU
