The star, who is on a two week break in her home town, dropped in at the Children's Hospital, Randwick, where she is patron. She'd wanted the visit to remain a secret, however within minutes word of the Moulin Rouge star's presence had spread through the building. Kidman spent hours talking to children by their bedsides, as well as seeing the Infant Function Testing System which was bought with $100,000 she donated in November. Elizabeth Crundell, the hospital's foundation director, said: "It hasn't just been financial A? she gives up her time, which is so limited, and always visits the hospital whenever she is in Sydney. "She gives them hope and inspiration. It's a sad time for children to be in hospital, and the feeling people get from her visit is magic."
