A German soldier (motorcyclist) who was injured about 11 a.m. in the town of Limay (on the other side of the Seine). 19th August 1944. He was recovered by a U.S. patrol which crossed the Seine with a boat. The American officer who gives a drink to the wounded is Lieutenant Stockridge Bacchus (A Company of the 314th Infantry Regiment of the 79th Infantry Division), behind the injured is Sergeant Harril (front) who opened fire and wounded the motorcyclist.
