A greedy panther chameleon snatches a snack right in front of an unsuspecting dumpy frog. The reptile and amphibian were spotted balancing on some branches in a forest near, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Indonesia. Dzul Dzulfikri, 51, who photographed the moment with his friend said, “A dragonfly was flying near the frog, and the frog was ready to catch it. However, the chameleon uses it’s tongue that can stretch and reach the dragonfly faster than the frog. the dragonfly quickly became lunch for the chameleon.” “Maybe the frog should have been quicker on the draw. Chameleons can extend their long tongues rapidly to catch prey, such as insects. They are solitary animals and typically wouldn't share their food with others, so this greediness isn't uncommon, it's just rare to capture it on camera.” His friend Laurence Surayanta, 72 year old accountant said, "I thought it was a very astonishing moment. The frog looked surprised as its meal was stolen by the chameleon." Yes, the dragonfly is fly near the frog and the frog ready to catch it but unfortunately the Chameleon has long tongue that can stretch and reach the dragonfly faster than Frog. He’s got his super long tongue wrapped around that unsuspecting insect like a lightning-fast lasso. In the background, the dumpy frog is watching all this action unfold, like a kid watching someone else eat all the pizza. Maybe the frog should’ve been quicker on the draw (or fly)!
