Food distribution to Haitian IDPs becomes chaotic. Later the food-loaded truck left without finishing the distribution due to security reason. A devastating magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti on January 12, 2010. Casualty estimates range widely between 90,000 to as much as 230,000 as reported by the Haitian government. Hundreds of thousands more lost their homes. A worldwide humanitarian response resulted in the aftermath of the disaster.
