A close up shot taken 07 October 2002 of the port side of the French supertanker Limburg as it was still ablaze, shows a gaping hole in the giant vessel which was being towed out into the Arabian Sea. The ripped metal surrounding the hole appeared to have been blown out rather than in as the Yemeni authorities took journalists close up to the tanker. The French embassy and the vessel's owners had reported yesterday an attack by a small boat loaded with explosives off the southeastern Yemeni port of al-Mukalla, 700km east of Aden.
