Khasav-Yurt Chechnya Russia June 2012: Freestyle wrestler Buvaysar Saytiev, who has won three Gold medals for Russia in the last four Olympic cycles, pauses during a warm-up game of soccer at his training facility in Moscow, Russia. During the First Chechen War in 1996, Saytiev became the first ethnic Chechen ever to win an Olympic Gold medal. Although he won the medal for the Russian team, he refused to take the country's flag onto the winner's podium in protest over the ongoing Russian bombardment of Chechnya.
