A former Playboy cover model and mum of six from Ohio has revealed the dramatic downfall of her life following her divorce from her wealthy husband.
Nannette Hammond Loschiavo of Cincinnati - celebrated as the Barbie Mum and The World’s Hottest Uber Driver - is now facing a desperate battle to regain her financial stability and bring her 14-year-old son back home.
"I was a stay-at-home mum for 17 years and entirely financially dependent on my ex-husband. My life was the epitome of a fairy tale. I lived in a mansion with two other homes, one in Miami and one in New Orleans. I had countless high-end luxury cars and private planes that would take me anywhere I wanted to go. I’d go on shopping sprees and never have to worry about how much I was spending," shared Nannette, who recently turned 50.
"I had so much money that I didn't flinch at the thought of spending it on surgeries to maintain my look. I underwent three breast augmentations going from a full C to an H, a breast lift, got veneers, had my lips filled, and kept up with eyelash extensions and regular spray tans. I had the means to indulge in whatever I wanted - including ensuring the very best for my six children."
Nannette's current struggle is deeply personal and far more painful than any plastic surgery she's undergone. She claims her ex-husband, a man of significant wealth and influence, removed their son from their home in Kentucky and moved him to Florida without her consent.
Once there, he promptly enrolled their son in a residential military academy, a decision that Nannette believes was made without consideration for her son's well-being.
"My son was taken from a loving home and placed in a military academy, miles away from his siblings and everything familiar," Nannette explained.
"It's not where he belongs. He should be with his family, in a nurturing environment, not in a rigid military setting where he’s isolated from those who love him. My ex moved our son to two different states without even telling the courts or giving me a heads-up. Now he's back in Kentucky, and I’m just stuck waiting for a court date to sort this out."
For nearly three years, Nannette has been fighting an uphill battle in court to bring her son back home. With limited financial resources, she has been forced to represent herself as her own attorney.
She added: "The court system let me down completely and trampled on my constitutional rights. My son needs me, and I’m not giving up on him. I’m doing everything I can to get the finances to fight this. I've walked in the rain and snow to get to work, and now I drive for Uber in a rented vehicle just to make ends meet. My ex-husband has money, power, and influence on his side, while I have none of those things. But what I do have is determination and the love of a mum for her child. And that’s something money can’t buy.""
Her ex-husband, she claims, has left her with nothing - no house, no car, not even her personal belongings. She now lives in a small two-bedroom apartment.
"My ex disposed of all my clothing and personal items, and I was evicted from my home," she noted. "And then he took my son. I'm left with nothing, but I'm still fighting. I have to get my son home."
The contrast between her past and present is heartbreaking.
"I haven't had my nails done in years, no Botox, no fillers," she said. "It's been a 110% adjustment. I don't shop like I used to, and I certainly don't live like I used to."
Despite the hardships, Nannette remains determined to turn her life around. She works as an uber driver to earn more money and regularly posts content on her Instagram and conducts YouTube interviews.
"I need to be in control of my life again. Even though my situation sucks right now, it's going to get better," she explained.
She has also launched a GoFundMe to garner support from people who believe in her cause. She is using every resource available to fight for her son.
"I'm doing this for him. I'm going to get him back, no matter what it takes," she concluded.
