Bieda i ubóstwo w Ekwadorze - Redux
Mother and daughter fight the symptoms of dengue fever at home since it is not the first time they get the disease. The Sika virus as other diseases transmitted by mosquitos are directly related to poverty. In Machala, Ecuador, a group of scientists from Upstate New York Medical University investigate the behavior of these diseases. It is evident, as in all of Latin America, that the most impoverished sectors are exposed and defenseless to these diseases, which emerge more strongly after intense rains and other natural disasters.
