A FUR-MIDABLE BOND! A pair of 3 month-old lion cubs cuddle up together, taking a rest in the shade from the swarm summer sun. The pair were observed in the Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa. Wildlife photographer, Charlie Lynam, 66 said, “The cubs were resting with the pide and Mum was having a nap before hunting begins around dusk. Lions are always affectionate and form very close emotional bonds. These cubs were very playful.” “Shortly after, the peace was shattered by the elephant that came along. He separated the cubs from the mother and there were a few tense moments when the cubs faced the elephant alone. He eventually walked away, causing no harm, the mother and aunts came for the cubs.” Please byline: Charlie Lynam/Solent News © Charlie Lynam/Solent News & Photo Agency UK +44 (0) 2380 458800 *** Local Caption *** Lions: When and where were these shots taken?
