Alistair Dixon from the Sweyns Ey Morris Dance group based in Swansea, stood in an Atlantic Rainforest in his traditional green, folklore Father Christmas costume, ahead of performing with the rest of the dance group for their “Gower Mummers Play” in Parkmill, Swansea. The Sweyns Eye Morris Dance perform several mummers plays around Swansea over the festive season and have been performing these plays for over 60 years. Some of the plays they perform which are specific to the area, date back over 500 years old. Mumming plays are a traditional folk play performed by local individuals called mummers or guisers, rather than professional actors. "
