In a photo provided by the National Archives, the USS Juneau in New York Harbor on Feb. 11, 1942. Nine months later, it was blasted apart by a torpedo. The ship was found in March of 2018 when a team onboard the Petrel, a research vessel funded by the Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Paul G.
