FILE-- The manager of the Westin St. Francis hotel in San Francisco caters to guests, on Sept. 22, 2011. An American hotel union has been added to the growing list of entities questioning the ownership of Anbang Insurance Group, the Chinese financial conglomerate. The union -- which represents more than 1,000 workers at the hotel and two others - asked Anbang and its hotel operators for that information as well as for documents related to potential condominium conversions of hotels in May 2017. It said the companies had not responded. (Jim Wilson/The New York Times)
