Behold, the amazing 3D street art of Kurt Wenner. The former NASA space illustrator employs the mind-bending art technique of Trompe-l'?il, French for "deceive the eye". Kurt invented 3D pavement art in 1984, inspired by the use of the ?anamorphic? perspective of the European classical masters. Using his homemade pastels, Nevada-based Kurt has created works in more than 30 countries, including a London tube station in Brussels and the Grand Canyon emerging from a building. He has just completed the 3D Museum of Wonders, a 25,000 square foot museum devoted to his work in Playa del Carmen, on the Riviera Maya. This is touted as the world's largest illusion museum designed and executed by a single artist. Kurt also continues to headline important international arts events, such as last month's (March) Dubai Canvas.
