Elie Wiesel, the Holocaust survivor, and author, at home with his wife, Marion, in New York, Jan. 8, 1973. Wiesel, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate whose writings including "Night" did as much as anyone to sear the memory of the Holocaust on the world's conscience, died at home in Manhattan on July 2, 2016.
