(FILES) - A picture taken on November 8, 2007 at the Elysee palace in Paris shows French president Nicolas Sarkozy with a mobile as he leaves after attending the weekly cabinet meeting. French judges tapped the phone calls of former President Nicolas Sarkozy as part of a probe into allegations former Libyan dictator Moamer Kadhafi helped finance his 2007 election campaign, a French daily reported on March 7, 2014. Judicial sources told AFP that a recorded call between Sarkozy and his lawyer Thierry Herzog was the basis for an investigation opened last week into a suspected attempt to influence the outcome of ongoing court proceedings in another corruption case.
