Jack Fleck, who won the U.S. Open in 1955 by beating Ben Hogan, makes a drive during the second round of the current Open being played at Tulsa, Okla., June 18, 1977. Fleck shot a 36-hole total of 161 and failed to make the cut. Since 1955 it has been downhill for Fleck. His wife died and he is without a home. He has spent 40 of his last 55 years in golf and his lifetime earnings amount to $128,867. Last year he made $325. (AP Photo)
