Cypriots living in Greece were given an opportunity of voting in the unofficial plebiscite, organized by the Greek Orthodox Church, on the proposal for the union of Cyprus with Greece. Voting took place in churches all over Greece. At the cathedral in Athens special services were held before voting began.
